Insert silence inserts a part of silence to the audio stream’s current cursor position. 

To insert 1 minute of silence:

• Move the cursor to the place where you want to insert the silence.
• Choose Insert Silence from the Edit menu or click the responding button.
• Enter 1:00 for the duration.
• Choose OK.
